Kiln Firing Service (Batch-wise Only)
We offer batch-wise bisque and glaze firing services at The Janbo Studio using our Skutt Electric Kiln KMT-822. Firings are scheduled only when the minimum batch capacity is met to ensure consistent results and energy efficiency.

Bisque Firing (Cone 06–04)

- Half Kiln (approx. 2 shelves): Rs.1,700
- Full Kiln (4-5 shelves): Rs.3,000
Janbo Studio Members receive a flat 20% discount
Batch Firing Policy
- Firing is done only when a minimum half-kiln batch is filled
- Pieces may be combined with work from multiple potters
- Single-shelf or individual firing is not available
- Turnaround time: 7–10 days, depending on batch availability
Intake Guidelines
Before Bisque Firing
- Pieces must be completely bone-dry
- No sealed or enclosed hollow forms
- No visible cracks or extremely thick bases
- Clay body and firing cone must be mentioned
Before Glaze Firing
- Bottom must be wiped clean (3–5 mm)
- Even glaze application only
- Known or studio-approved glazes preferred
- Experimental glazes require prior approval

Additional Notes
- Payment must be completed before firing
- Re-firing is charged as a new firing
- Shelf or kiln damage due to glaze run or improper preparation may be charged separately
- Members receive priority batch scheduling
