This short-term program is designed for beginners and enthusiasts who want to explore both handbuilding and wheel throwing, while creating a small collection of ceramic pieces.

By the end of the workshop, you will walk away with handcrafted objects made by you from functional tableware to decorative pieces.

What You Will Learn

During the workshop, participants will explore the essential techniques of pottery:

• Understanding different types of clay
• Introduction to handbuilding techniques
• Wheel throwing practice with guidance from our instructor
• Creating your own collection of ceramic objects (dinnerware or decor pieces)
• Learning underglaze application for surface decoration

This workshop encourages creativity, experimentation, and hands-on learning.

After the Workshop

All pieces created during the workshop will be glazed and kiln-fired by The Janbo team. Finished ceramics will be ready for collection within 5-6 weeks.

• Finished pieces will be glazed and fired by The Janbo Studio team after the workshop.
• The bottom of the pottery will remain unglazed to prevent sticking inside the kiln.
• Pottery involves natural processes, and breakage may occur during drying or firing.
• A limited selection of studio glazes will be available for participants.
• No refunds will be provided once the booking is confirmed.
