What You’ll Learn
Module 1: Advanced Clay Control & Structural Building
- Throwing with multiple ceramic bodies
- Working with 750 g – 1 kg clay
- Sectional throwing for taller, complex forms
- Combining pinch, coil & slab for advanced structures
- Composite forms, sectional joins, weight balance & stability
Module 2: Functional Ware & Set Design
- Lidded jars & lid mechanisms (gallery + flange)
- Plates: centering wide clay, flattening, rim control
- Tableware set-making: teacups, bowls, plates
- Uniformity training using measurements & production workflow
- Double-walled forms (insulated forms + hollow structure)
- Goblets & stemmed forms (base joining, proportion, balance)
Module 3: Form Exploration & Sculpture
- Vase variations: tall-neck, round belly, collar, trumpet form & more
- Basic Human figure sculpting
- Proportion, gesture, anatomy basics
- A final themed sculpture guided by an artist
- Introduction to low-relief
- Ceramic Chessboard + 4–6 chess pieces (Introduction to repeated form, precision, and flat slab construction)

- Carving, fluting, sgraffito, stamping

Module 5: Advanced Glaze Techniques

- Total Hours: 78 hours (24 instructor-led sessions, 2 free flow sessions, 3 hours each)
