What You Learn
Module 1: Clay Essentials
- Introduction to pottery
- Types of clay & earthenware & stoneware basics
- Preparing & wedging clay (cutting, ramming, spiral wedge)
Module 2: Wheel Fundamentals
- Stages of wheel throwing: coning → centring → opening → lifting
- Throwing basic cylinders (the foundation of all forms)
- Understanding height vs. width control
Module 3: Basic Functional Forms
- Straight-walled cups
- Create different styles of Angular and bellied cups & bowls to build confidence.
- Attaching handles (pulling & fixing)
Module 4: Finishing Techniques
- Trimming your pieces
- Introduction to carving & simple textures
- Introduction to glazing (basic dipping)
Outcome of Level 1
You will be able to throw consistent cylinders, shape basic forms like cups, add handles, trim professionally and glaze your pieces.

Students must complete these tasks, and every assignment will be documented and submitted to the instructor for final approval, creating a personal learning archive that tracks your progress, growth, and technical mastery.

- Total Hours: 42 hours (12 instructor-led sessions, 2 free flow sessions, 3 hours each)
- Clay: Stoneware & Earthenware
- Course Fees: ₹18,000 (Includes clay, tools, glazes, two firings, tax & full studio support)
